“And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.”
— John Muir

My Favorite Races
Cocodona 250
The Cocodona 250 is a continuous 250 mile point-to-point route, starting near Prescott, AZ and ending in downtown Flagstaff, AZ. Arguably the most diverse 200+miler on the map, runners climb 40,000 feet and battle everything the desert can throw at them.
Leadville 100
The Leadville Trail 100 Run is an ultramarathon held annually on rugged trails and dirt roads near Leadville, Colorado, through the heart of the Rocky Mountains. First run in 1983, the race course climbs and descends 15,600 feet, with elevations ranging from 9,200 to 12,620 feet.
Pinhoti 100
The Pinhoti 100 is a Point to Point Trail run starting in Heflin, AL on the unmolested Pinhoti single track trail. Runners make their way over the highest point in Alabama while navigating over rocks, through creeks and across beautiful ridge lines of the Talladega National Forest.
Georgia Jewel
The Jewel is Georgia's longest standing 100 mile trail race and run on the beautiful Pinhoti. With 99% single-track and 1% a ridiculous climb up what we affectionately call "Mt. Baker," all our distances are super fun (at least the finish line is fun). The Pinhoti includes some steller ridge line sections as well as a rock garden that'll make you hate rocks...well...forever.
I was having the race of my life. It was one of those days when your legs can do anything you ask of them, the weather was perfect, the course was beautiful, and I was so happy. Then it was all over in an instant.
